Dutch fashion photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin–better known as Inez and Vinoodh–were in Beverly Hills over the weekend for the 73rd annual Golden Globes where the duo rubbed shoulders with the Hollywood elite. While attending the widely watched event, the artistic pair had a mini-studio setup backstage, ready to greet winners and presenters with a quick photo shoot.
Working in their signature black and white style, one big name after another posed for Inez and Vinoodh for a series of stunning portraits. The impromptu shoot included the likes of many winners from the star-studded night–Brie Larson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet, Lady Gaga, Oscar Isaac, Alejandro Iarritu, Jennifer Lawrence, Taraji P. Henson, Sylvester Stalone, and many more. The portraits also feature the faces of famous presenters, including Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart, Ken Jeong, and Amy Adams.
As for how Inez and Vinoodh were able to capture such stunning shots of each excited attendee as everyone’s adrenaline was piquing, the photographers had to work quick. There was a dizzying excitement, but the photographers knew to center themselves and concentrate. Inez told Instagram Blog: “I like to keep the lighting setup the same so that I can entirely focus on the person in front of me. It’s forgetting your ego and giving everything to the person so that you can focus on what makes them incredible.”
