For the Mapping Festival, an audiovisual art event held annually in Geneva, Switzerland, a mesmerizing installation was just presented that turned ordinary white balloons into a mesmerizing installation. On May 16, in front of the Museum of Art and History in Geneva, a matrix of 256 balloons that had been inflated with helium and equipped with LED lights, acted like a low resolution screen, dancing in patterns to the sound of music. The entire show, called Cyclique by Maxime Houot and Nohista, lasted about 25 minutes.
The Mapping Festival officially kicks off today, May 22, and lasts until June 1. Dedicated to the audiovisual arts and digital culture, this 10th edition promises to be a real treat, especially for those who appreciate music, projection mapping and light installations.
