Kyung Soon Park is a Korean artist who’s work carefully blends both modern and traditional art. As an Asian American, her work resonates with me because it has me thinking about my own cultural heritage – where my parents came from and the struggles they went through to give us a better life. With sweeping brush strokes, Park creates a world that reminds us that as confusing it may be to be strapped between two cultures, ultimately, the struggle lies within ourselves.
