Albanian photographer Adrian Limani reevaluates the world around him and develops his own surreal “art objects.” The self-taught photographer captures a variety of images that inspire him, both from nature and still life, and combines them to produce intriguing subjects. His work with light bulbs is especially fascinating. Limani uses two, sometimes three, different images to brilliantly create each of his light bulb images. Like unusual snow globes, his photo manipulations exhibit artifacts from life, particular samples from nature including entire trees, within glass domes.
The 21-year-old creative says, “To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting in an ordinary place. I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them… It takes a lot of imagination to be a good photographer. You need less imagination to be a painter because you can invent things. But in photography everything is so ordinary; it takes a lot of looking before you learn to see the extraordinary.”
