While Boston-based fine art photographer Jennifer B. Hudson has a whole portfolio filled with highly stylized, incredibly dramatic photos, these two recent images by her really caught my eye. The stunningly surreal photos show two individuals whose heads are merged together with nature. As eye-catching as they may be, what exactly do they mean?
“This is new, experimental work exploring ideas of memory and memory loss,” Hudson told us. “This work begun with larger scale sculptural installations using organic material to create ‘armor’ or head adornments for the human subjects. The final works are digital photographs, 10×10 inch archival pigment ink prints.”
