David Eger’s creative photo series, 52 Weeks of Star Wars, is a project that was inspired by the many famous moments that have been documented by photographers in the past. The weekly series appeals to a combination of Star Wars and photography fans, where each new scene features Star Wars figurines set up in unique interpretations of celebrated and identifiable images.
Putting a little twist on an otherwise familiar picture, Eger uses Storm Troopers, Luke Skywalker, R2D2, C3P0, and other toy figures to recreate epic events like the famous I Have a Dream speech by Martin Luther King, Jr., the Migrant Mother photograph by Dorothea Lange, and the Beatles Abbey Road album cover. He then photographs the small sets at a close distance to breathe new life and awareness into already well-known visual references. I can’t wait to see what he comes up with next!
