Ready for a door handle that can do more? While the LEDoorHandle is pretty nifty in and of itself for its built-in light sensor that can detect when to turn on the night light, that’s not the coolest part. Found on Freshome, this handle actually detaches from the handle from the base to convert into an LED flashlight! No more searching in your junk drawer for matches and candles!
Another sweet feature? Just by opening and closing the door handle, you’re charging the integrated lithium batteries of the flashlight!
It should come as no surprise that the LEDoorHandle is the 2011 Spark Awards Winner. It was designed by Kun-hee Kim, Kei Shimizu and Nguyen-vu Dang.
