At first glance, you might ask yourself, “why would anyone put art on a perfectly good globe?” But then, you step back and think about it for a moment and it makes perfect sense. Wendy Gold takes old, vintage globes and transforms them into beautiful and whimsical works of art. Called ImagineNations, these globes would be otherwise abandoned, thrown into some old, dusty attic because they’re no longer geographically accurate.
Instead, Gold breaths new life into them by adding hand-cut art and decoupaging this sweet imagery on. No globe will ever be the same because each one is lovingly, handmade to order.
