The Beautiful Windswept Trees of Slope Point

At the southernmost point of the South Island of New Zealand, you won’t find any houses but you will find some extremely dramatic scenery. Slope Point is predominantly sheep farming country but it has spectacular views of the sea over the rocky coastline and surrounding cliffs. It’s also where you’ll find some of the most interestingly shaped trees in the world.

Due to the strong winds that continually batter the region, a patch of trees permanently leans to one side, resulting in stunning photos that almost resemble paintings.
