Japanese art teacher Naohiko has found a creative way to motivate his students to take part in the junior high school’s annual sports day. The dedicated teacher spends hours creating incredible chalkboard art of well-known, inspirational characters next to words of encouragement.
Using only six different chalk colors, Naohiko stayed behind after school hours to work on his artwork at night. From Izuku Midoriya from My Hero Academia to Eren from Attack on Titan, and Elsa from Frozen, each hand-drawn character represents a color-coded sports day team. Each piece features expressive details and three-dimensional elements, allowing the characters to stand out in the classroom.
The sports event seems to be a big deal in this particular school, where the various games include running competitions, a three-legged race, and a tug-of-war. Luckily, Naohiko’s artistic efforts prevailed—his class were runners-up in the sports day competition!
