In beautiful soft colors, Bec Winnel’s portraits swim in femininity. The artist uses a delicate combination of color pencil, graphite and pastel to create works of art that will stand the test of time. Reminiscent of Victorian postcards, her vintage modern art can be appreciated by different people on several levels.
“Men generally compliment me on my technical skill and the way my works look, while women usually see the feeling I try to put into my pieces,” Winnel says. “The truth is, I draw for myself. I don’t mean to embody ‘beauty’ in the form of a woman, it just happens. I hope that my work portrays women as the beautiful creatures that they are.”
