Turkish artist Sreyya Noyan expertly transforms eggs by carefully cracking a window into them, removing the egg, and painting recreations of world-renowned works of art on the inside of the shells. Using precise detail brushes, drawing pens, and an incredible amount of care, Noyan is able to utilize an egg’s exterior as a fragile canvas to create her eggshell paintings. She draws inspiration from famed artwork such as van Gogh‘s Starry Night, The Kiss by Gustav Klimt, and Rembrandt’s The Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Nicolaes Tulp.
Noyan also illustrates some of Turkey’s most exquisite architectural structures within the delicate eggshells. In the end, no matter what Noyan chooses as her muse, she manages to keep her unconventionally fragile canvas intact as she turns the ordinary grocery item into a handheld work of art, doing justice to the noteworthy creatives that she intricately emulates.
