‘Succession’ Reimagined as Wes Anderson’s ‘The Royal Tenenbaums’

Succession is Reimagined in the Style of Wes Anderson

Wes Anderson’s films have a distinct aesthetic that sets them apart from other pictures. Its instant recognizability makes it a favorite style to recreate, whether it be through a parody by SNL or an homage by various TikTokers. Recently, Artsy Algorithm used the Texan director’s colorful approach to reimagine HBO’s hit TV show Succession in a whole new way.

The one-minute trailer copies the format of the 2001 film The Royal Tenenbaums, only in this version it features the Roy family. Siobhan, Kendall, Roman, and Connor are transformed with the help of AI to resemble typical Wes Anderson characters. They wear colorful costumes in yellow and pink tones and are placed against carefully curated backgrounds.

This whimsical concept gives the urban drama a much different feeling. Rather than the gray and black color palette that it is known for, this version of Succession seems humorous and playful. Even the patriarchal figure Logan Roy seems like a much more approachable person in the Wes Anderson style.
