Exquisite Adult Coloring Book Offers a Relaxing and Creative Way to Explore the World

Last year, illustrator and lifelong traveler Steve McDonald wowed us with his exquisite adult coloring book called Fantastic Cities. The nearly 60 scenes combined complex aerial views of real cities with kaleidoscope-like architectural mandalas, making it a challenging and creative escape for its participants. Luckily for us, there’s more to explore. McDonald recently told us about his latest coloring book endeavor called Fantastic Structures. The eagerly-awaited follow up features buildings both real and imagined, “from medieval castles to modernist masterpieces.”

Fantastic Structures follows a similar format to its predecessor but takes a closer look at the components of a city. McDonald zooms in on individual buildings, streets, monuments, and bridges around the globe. Some of the recognizable monuments include New York City’s Chrysler Building, Tokyo’s Fuji Television Building, and Moscow’s St. Basil’s Cathedral. Each has the same gorgeous attention to detail to ensure hours of coloring fun. It’s also a fantastic way to offset the stresses of daily life.

Fantastic Structures is now available through Amazon.
