Who doesn’t love a good movie mashup? Taking a page from the classic Godzilla versus King Kong, Spanish illustrator Guillem H. Pongiluppi has pitted two epic legends of science fiction against each other in a ferocious battle. Darth Vader and his 501st legion of Stormtroopers take on the creatures of Alien in a rivalry that is evenly matched. It’s not the first time Pongiluppi has illustrated the concept—he started last year and plans to continue next year with further developments.
Swathed in deep reds and cool blues, the creatures engage in a brutal battle that will leave you on the edge of your seat. “The brave soldiers of the 501st Legion: Vader’s Fist, the pride of the Empire, was fighting in the remote planet LV-426 against the Space Cockroaches. Every soldier from the 501 is braver than ten of those abominable creatures. But the beasts look like they are not giving up,” says Guillem.
Darth Vader, the Alien Queen, and a whole host of characters are on hand for Pongiluppi’s epic fight. And while the aliens seem to have them outnumbered in several instances, don’t count the Stormtroopers out yet!
