My Modern Shop Spotlight #5 – Lost in Translation by Stanley Chow

We’ve featured countless artists, designers, and photographers here on My Modern Met and now you can own their amazing art through My Modern Shop and proudly display their work in your own home. As part of our ongoing series of spotlights for the shop, we’re re-introducing our readers to works available by some of the best contemporary artists today. This week, we bring you Lost in Translation by Stanley Chow.

The multifaceted Manchester, England-based illustrator has a minimalist aesthetic with a retro appeal. The bulk of Chow’s work revolves around creating awesome caricatures of pop culture icons, from comic book heroes to indie cult film characters. This particular print of Bill Murray as Bob Harris from Lost in Translation is a nod to the cult fan favorite as he awkwardly shoots a commercial in Japan. The poster presents a reflection of the popular scene from the film, while retaining Chow’s own design aesthetic.

This print is currently available through My Modern Shop.
