Magical Photo of Yosemite’s Horsetail Fall

We’ve seen photos of Horsetail Fall before, but this one by Stan Rapada really stands out from the rest. There’s something so magical, or even spiritual, about this image, as gold light illuminates not only the mountain, but the misty air and surrounding trees as well.

Horsetail Fall, located in Yosemite National Park in California, is a seasonal waterfall that flows in the winter and early spring. The fall occurs on the east side of El Capitan. There are a few days every February where the fall is lit up by the setting sun and reflects a bright orange.
