Spreading Street Art in Africa

Street artist Roa shares his urban art with the world. Working with Wide Open Walls, a project organized by Lawrence Williams, he traveled to the village of Kubuneh in Gambia, Africa. W.O.W.’s objective is to promote Gambia as a tourist destination while, at the same time, present an astounding art installation that “WOW’s” the world.

In Gambia, Roa follows his signature theme of incorporating local animals into his graffiti. As the children sing and play, zebras lie lazily about and monkeys sit patiently. These pieces enrich the walls of the village and, perhaps, will even inspire the children of Gambia to become future artists.
