One of the best things about running this site is that we get to find and share some of the most incredible art across the world. Today, this mission takes us to Tokyo where we find Wataru Itou, a young student of a major art university, who’s created this wonderful paper craft art installation called Umi no Ue no Oshiro or A Castle On the Ocean. The installation is handmade and took over four years to complete. It comes with electrical lights, a train and a ferris wheel that’s all made of paper.
And here it is in different colors:
It is currently being exhibited at Uminohotaru, right between Tokyo City and Chiba Prefecture. I love how the lights are set up – they give the castle a beautiful glow. Via Tokyo Bling
