Shenzhen, China-based artist RLoN Wang creates extraordinarily detailed illustrations of animals that look so realistic, they might pop right off the page. The colorful creatures, from an iguana to a macaw to an arowana fish, are painted with a myriad of richly saturated hues, making for a visually stunning feast for the eyes.
It’s amazing how much detail the artist packs into each inch of the paper, using just an ink pen to meticulously draw every feather, scale, and hair. Wang then adds color in a similarly painstaking manner, filling each tiny segment with a different pigment to fully bring out the subtle shades and variations in the tones of the animal’s exterior. With such beautifully rendered texture, shape, and color, the illustrations burst with life, emulating the energy of each individual creature.
