Retro American-Inspired Petrol Station in Italy

I’m sure you’d agree that gas stations look pretty much the same on every street corner. That’s why we can really appreciate this design by Italian firm Damilano Studio Architects. Located in Cuneo, Italy, the station provides resting facilities, a caf and a dining area, which was all inspired by retro American petrol stations. Glass walls close the shell reinforced concrete, which is cast in special molds. On the rear elevation, a red steel block is detached from the body and a wolf howling, illuminated at night, draws attention to the restroom area.
