It’s hard to believe that Pixar has only released 13 movies since its inception. Its first feature-length film, Toy Story, came out in 1995 and since then the CGI production company has created hit after hit, as young and old are brought together to watch some of the greatest animated films of these modern times.
The 2009 film Up stands out as the one Pixar film that brought out an expected amount of emotion in us, it grabbed our attention (and our hearts) right from the start and then kept us entertained throughout. The love story between Ellie and Carl was not just incredibly moving, it brought meaning and context to the whole movie. Carl had to fulfill a promise to Ellie of visiting Paradise Falls. When he opens their Adventure Book years after she’s passed, he finds a small note she left that said, “Thanks for the adventure – now go have a new one!”
Today, we’ve put together a compilation of some of the best fan art surrounding this classic PIxar movie. While some of these illustrators highlight individual characters or have come up with clever mashups, many of them show the sweet and endearing love of our favorite Pixar couple of all time.

Up For The Birds

“The birds from For the Birds are visiting their friend Kevin, who was casually taking a walk with Carl, Rusell and Dug on a white background. I think that Carl is not very happy for this meet, especially because these birds find his head quite comfortable,” writes Segio Kechu.
