Nature-Inspired Resort Offers Treehouse Accommodations

It may not be a replacement for never having a treehouse as a child, but this unique resort is still pretty fun. Located just 30 minutes outside of Seattle, Washington, Treehouse Point is a sustainable bed and breakfast that offers a unique opportunity for adults to vacation in rooms built amongst the trees.

Developed by Pete and Judy Nelson, the concept strives to “connect people through personal encounters with the trees and nature.” Each structure sits in harmony with the natural surroundings and the resort offers a number of activities. Visitors can go for a hike in the forest, enjoy nature-inspired yoga sessions or massages, or simply sit on an outdoor porch and escape into the solitude of nature.

Ladders or extensive staircases lead up into the tree-bound accommodations, including six different designs with unique names—Temple of the Blue Moon, Trillium, The Nest, The Upper Pond, Bon Bibi, and The Burl. In addition to the residential offerings, Treehouse Point serves as “a nature conservancy centered around treehouses; a cultural events center that inspires and educates the community; and an environmental learning center that facilitates stewardship of natural resources.”
