We have campers for humans, so why not dogs, too? Pet owners that love to pamper their pooches can now provide them with tiny kennels that are designed to look like the smaller version of what we’d take on vacation. Called the Pet Camper, it was created by Judson Beaumont of the Vancouver-based Straight Line Designs.
Beaumont says that the idea for the product came to him several years ago after his daughter asked him to build a doghouse for her puppy. Since then, he’s designed four different body styles of the small trailers that are fully customizable. The materials, size, style, and color can all be tailored to your liking. You can even include a personalized license plate on the Pet Camper.
The trailers aren’t meant for dogs larger than 20 pounds, although the company has been approached to build larger models for bigger canines. And while human-sized trailers are meant to be all-weather, this doesn’t apply to the Pet Camper. Straight Line Designs recommends that the small kennels are enjoyed indoors or outside for short periods of time.
