Using bold colors and geometric forms, artist Jazzberry Blue creates abstract maps of some of the world’s most famous cities. He’s made these modern maps, that have that mid-century modern look to them, for almost every city you can think of including Chicago, Milan, and Berlin. The self-taught graphic artist, who’s based in Toronto, is the latest creative to join us at My Modern Shop. Wouldn’t his works look great hanging on a wall?
When asked if he was a cartographer by trade, Jazzberry told Prints on Wood, “Definitely not a cartographer. I am basically more of an abstract artist who got sidetracked while seeking new shapes and curves and compositions. Maps wonderfully puzzle together thousands of incongruent little pieces to generate a particularly grand composition you cannot find anywhere else in our world.”
You can now buy a selection of his works, we have nine in all, as either prints or canvases over at My Modern Shop.
