Thailand-based architecture firm Fars Studio recently won a national competition to design the Chao Phraya River Memorial and Museum in Nakorn-Sawan, Thailand. The landmark structure symbolizes the significance of the river in the region. The 161,458 sq ft (15,000 sq m) structure has a proposed cost of $6 Million.
The Chao Phraya River is not only Thailand’s largest river, it’s where the River Ping, Wang, Yom and Naan meet. The river on the north side of the island is green, while on the south it’s red. During flood season, high tides and low tides differentiate by up to 29 feet (9 meters).
