I first heard about Beijing born fashion photographer Chen Man right here on theMET when Panda Ju posted on her back in December 2008. Just recently, I learned that Chen Man’s having a solo show in Hong Kong at the Ooi Botos Gallery from now till May 22, 2010. The exhibition called “Unbearable Beauty” promises to be filled with gorgeous imagery.
Scrolling through her website, I was amazed at her large body of work and was particularly mesmerized by her beauty photos.
Chen Man blew up on the scene with her groundbreaking covers produced for Vision magazine from 2003 to 2007. As a regular contributor to such publications as Vogue, Nylon, Esquire and Bazaar, she’s defining the new face of modern China.
Interesting to note, Chen Man attends to all aspects of her craft including post-production work like touching with Photoshop and 3D rendering. She’s also just 30 years old!
