Vanity Fair’s Party Portraits Mix Celebrities, Politicians and Journalists

Photographer Mark Seliger has once again captured some beautiful portraits at a Vanity Fair after-party but, this time, they feature not just celebrities, but also the world’s most powerful politicians and respected members of the media. After the annual White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner, this year held on May 3, many who attended dropped by the Vanity Fair/Bloomberg party where they were asked to asked to pose in Seliger’s custom-built portrait studio.

As Vanity Fair states, “The magic was in the unexpected combinations, as Joel McHale hammed it up with Governor Chris Christie, Questlove cozied up with Senior Advisor to the President of the United States Valerie Jarrett, and MSNBC host Ronan Farrow linked up with Scandal star Bellamy Young.”

Previously, Seliger had taken incredibly striking portraits of actors and actresses at the Vanity Fair Oscar party. As you can see, he’s a master at capturing beautifully candid shots.
