Instructables contributor goldlego, also known as Calvin Nutter, produced a clever greeting card that mimics the aesthetics of an old computer loading screen. Better yet, it’s animated, and as you pull the card from the envelope, the bars appear to “load.” Nutter created a detailed, step-by-step guide on the Instructables website so you too can make your own version of this customizable item.
The card measures around six and a half inches wide and a little over three and a half inches high. This project requires scissors, an X-ACTO knife, a printer, two sheets of paper, and tape for construction. Nutter also includes a downloadable template that has easy-to-edit text for a personalized message.
With some careful cutting and heartfelt words, you’ll create a unique take on a standard greeting card. Plus, anyone who used a computer in the late 90’s and early 2000’s will appreciate this “vintage” look!
