Sculpted Stories Emerge from the Pages of Books

Harry Potter

Artist Jodi Harvey-Brown has always loved books and getting pulled into new worlds through the process of reading. Her motto is, “The books that we love to read should be made to come to life.” And so, she creates elaborate and complex sculptures from which the stories emerge directly from the pages of a book, springing to life before our eyes.

Every scene is handmade and Harvey-Brown protects the final product with a UV finish. Her pieces feature every kind of story imaginable, including the Millennium Falcon ready to soar out of the pages of Star Wars Heir to the Empire; Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn sailing along the surface of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer; and Harry Potter, Hermione, and Ron standing, wands posed, atop The Deathly Hollows. Harvey-Brown even has a series of Christmas tree book sculptures for sale on her Etsy shop, just in time for the holidays.
