While we’ve now seen our share of interesting LEGO creations, we’ve never quite seen the plastic bricks turned into colorful messages like this. Brooklyn-based Korean artist Jaye Moon has been putting up these bright, rainbow-colored messages for New Yorkers to spot on their streets. One of them, titled “Somewhere Better Than This Place” even has a tiny door placed in the lower right-hand corner that accepts donations.
Mostly known for her mini LEGO tree houses, these typographic works are a slight departure but one that’s quite refreshing. For those curious about the “Help Me Jerry” piece, according to Street Art NYC, it “alludes to influential NYC-based art critic, Jerry Saltz.”
