Artist Reveals the Fictitious Anatomies of Beloved Childhood Toys and Sugary Treats

Last year, we marveled over Jason Freeny’s amusing sculptures that revealed the inner anatomies of famous toys. Mickey Mouse, LEGO Minifigs, and Hello Kitty were each cross-sectioned with their insides exposed in a playfully scientific way. Now, Freeny has turned this same attention towards balloon animals, gummy bears, and the classic rubber ducky. His latest creations dissect these figures and transform them into fun toys to assemble and display.

The way that Freeny has the objects’ insides will surprise you. His gummy bear has a remarkably large brain beneath its “sugary” surface, while the balloon dog looks especially ferocious with its pointed, jagged teeth–luckily, those chompers are kept inside of their shell!

It’s been a long road to produce these delightful toys–almost 10 years, according to Freeny. The hard work and dedication has paid off, as they’re now available on Amazon or through the Mighty Jaxx shop.
