Is it work or is it play?

I’ve always been fascinated with athletes. Take the best – the strongest, the fastest, the most agile – put them together and then stand back in awe and admire their unbelievable, almost super natural abilities. Are they having fun? Do they see their work as play? I like this quote I came across today because it’s a philosophy on how to live. “The master of the art of living makes little distinction between his work and his play, his labor and his leisure, his mind and his body, his education and his recreation, his love and his religion. He simply pursues his vision of excellence in whatever he does, leaving others to decide whether he is working or playing. To him, he is always doing both.” By Lao-Tzu, in Tina Seelig’s new book, What I Wish I Knew When I Was 20. (Good luck, Lakers. Let’s whoop some ass in Game 7 on Sunday.)
