At first glance, Bruno Catalano’s sculptures look incomplete. Look again and you’ll notice that Catalano created these disappearing travelers with missing midsections on purpose. Awaiting an unknown destination, these travelers, with their determined lack of volume, invite the viewer to mentally fill in what’s missing.
Where are these people traveling to? What are they searching for?
