When couple Becca and Dan were forced to confront a long-distance relationship, they used their love of photography to bridge the gap. With Becca based in Brooklyn, and Dan part of the Remote Year project that sends him to different cities each month, the couple uses their creativity to keep them connected.
With their Instagram account Half Half Travel, the avid photographers each post images that capture their travels. But, these aren’t any ordinary travel photos. By editing their work to meet in the middle, they bring together their experiences even when they are separated by distance. With each image a little love letter, we see them each going about their lives separately, but not without each other.
This creative project will strike a chord with anyone who has lived through a long-distance relationship. Whether mashing up animals from Colombia and South Africa or snapping the sunset in Portugal and Queens, New York, their touching photographs plot the chart of their romance.
Half Half Travel is what you get when two creative photographers get together and figure out how to maintain a long-distance relationship.
