Throughout the years we’ve seen the beautiful city of Paris shot in more ways than we thought humanly possible. From Philipp Klinger’s unique photos highlighting its illusions and patterns to Nichole Robertson’s view of the city as a color palette, Paris has, no doubt, been photographed many times over.
New York City-based photographer Guillaume Gaudet, who we first introduced you to last month, just sent us his own interpretation of Paris. Traveling to the city only once a year, during Christmas time, Gaudet shows us a Paris with gloomy skies or blanketed in fresh rain or snow. More than anything, love how he purposefully frames each shot. It’s like he’s directing our eyes, asking us to appreciate Paris’s less touristy, more melancholy side. (On a related note, here’s some great travel photo tips, from National Geographic, on how to shoot iconic places in a fresh way. Seems like Guadet has already mastered every single one.)
