Last month, we shared behind the scenes photos of some of Hollywood’s most action-packed films, but missing from the bunch is one of the most followed action-spy film franchises of all time: Bond. James Bond. British photographer Greg Williams has had the good fortune of having a spot on the set of the Bond films since 1997, documenting the action and downtime when the cameras aren’t rolling.
Williams’ series known as Bond On Set feature photos from three separate Bond films–Die Another Day, Casino Royal, and Quantum of Solace–that include two leading Bond men in Pierce Brosnan and Daniel Craig. Also making an appearance in the series are famed modern Bond girls Halle Berry and Olga Kurylenko. We get to see these stars lounging on set, reading their scripts, training, rehearsing, and even goofing off a bit. There’s something voyeuristic about it all, like we’re sneaking in on something really exclusive meant for VIPs like Bond himself.
The series Bond On Set is available across several books by the same title, filled with pictures to feed the devout cinephiles’ hungry eyes. The next book installment of the series, titled Bond On Set: Filming Skyfall, is due out on October 1, 2012.
