On her first foray into sculpture, Toronto-based artist Gosia created three distinct sculptures from one identical bust. Although there are several unique sculptures in her new work, Gosia has once again made a study of crafting individual characters through small differences or additions.
While last time she incorporated different sculptural elements to set the figures apart, this time she used only the painted finish to transform the feeling of each piece in her series Shape of Her Eyes. The girl with blood red flowers trailing across her otherwise pale form is incredibly striking and completely unlike her more conservatively painted counterparts.
