For a lot of pet owners, owning a dog could be considered similar to having a child. From painstaking potty training to daily walks, our “furry babies” require a lot of love. And for dog mom Gemma Gené, she has her hands full with her adorable—and often clingy—pet pug, Mochi. Gené illustrates their inseparable relationship and hilarious day-to-day scenarios in a heartwarming daily webcomic.
“I missed Mochi so much during my work hours that I started drawing about him on my subway commutes,” Gené tells My Modern Met. “The drawings are little stories about love and the daily little things that happen when you have a dog.” From Mochi’s separation anxiety to his tendency to overeat, each illustration is hilariously relatable for fellow dog owners.
For those who know nothing’s better than a cuddle from your pet pooch, Gené’s drawings are sure to make your smile. You can keep up to date with the Mochi & Gemma Gené webcomic series on Instagram.
