Radiant Shoe Lace Murals Explode with Color

If you liked artist Federico Uribe’s Pencilism sculptures and paintings, you’ll get a kick out of his creative shoe lace art. The inspired artist simply loves to work with multihued ordinary objects, as evidenced in these series of works aptly titled Shoe Laces. The massive murals are, on average, approximately six feet in height and made of a wide array of shoe laces, varying in length. Each lace is pinned down giving the impression of a brush stroke from a distance. I’m blown away by his patience and ability to produce such brilliantly defined works. There is a powerful explosion of color in every one of Uribe’s works that adds to the animated aesthetic. Also, where does he get shoe laces in all of those colors?
