Don’t these beautiful digital montages remind you of the title sequence from Monsters, Inc? French artist Anne-Laure Maison manipulated images of lighted doors and windows she took at night. The lights came from within the homes as she stood outside to capture their beauty.
“The warmth of a particular light, the shimmering glow of a television, the corner of a painting,” says Maison of the series, “all these details stir my imagination and inspire my work. When I gaze at these windows, I like to tell myself a story. I capture these intimate moments and build my own imaginary structures.?” By rearranging the photos into her own imaginary structures, she creates an entirely different yet private space out of doors and windows.
