Lately, we’ve seen a rise in wedding photos that have a beautifully artistic feeling. Double exposures (or multiple exposures) have become a hot trend, as both wedding publication The Knot and blog Bridal Musings have stated. In PDN’s newest photo contest, called Top Knots, you can also see a few examples of this. While we’ve seen this photo technique used many times before, this is the first time we’re rounding up some examples of double exposures taken from the wedding photography community.While double exposures can be created in camera, with no post production, many photographers are now turning to Photoshop to help create this ethereal effect. In wedding photography, double exposures are often used to merge the couple with their background, be it a beautiful bed of flowers or a field of golden wheat. Husband and wife team Feather and Stone is one of the photographers leading the pack. They’re known for their modern double exposures that are simply stunning. Now here are some of our favorites.
