Spanning 17 feet in length, it features two adjustable seats that each have their own bubble-glass cockpit. There’s a set of wings and stabilizers in the rear that help it navigate with ease. Perhaps the best part of this underwater vehicle is that it can be piloted to depths as low as 400 feet beneath the surface; this is sure to provide an amazing glimpse into the world of the sea.
This Deepflight Submarine might look familiar to fans of the James Bond films, and it’s with good reason. The company’s founder is Graham Hawkes, a longtime British marine engineer who built and piloted a submarine that challenged Bond in the 1980 flick For Your Eyes Only.
At $1.7M a pop, this personal submarine is meant for billionaires and tourism companies; the widely-known Richard Branson owns one. But, while it’s not something that the average person can afford, it’s certainly fun to imagine.
