To many people, social media is a phenomenon best left to the younger generations. However, Geoffrey Walker—an elderly English author and songwriter—has proven that online platforms are for people of all ages with his adorable (and now viral) Instagram account.
Like most Instagram users, Walker’s profile visually captures the ins and outs of his everyday life. Often, he shares scenic shots of his surroundings in the English Midlands, a beautiful region full of charming homes, adorable animals, and idyllic landscapes. Additionally, he also posts pictures related to his hobbies and interests, which include music, marathons, and sharing inspirational quotes. Perhaps most endearing, however, are his photographs of family members—namely, Pauline, his beloved “wife and sweetheart for the last 65 years.”
Clearly his most inspiring muse, Pauline is frequently the focus of Walker’s posts. Whether she’s simply sitting outside sipping a cup of tea or all dressed up and looking just as “stunning today as she was at sixteen,” one thing is certain: Walker loves to photograph, film, and share his love for his undoubtedly lucky wife.
