Creative Ad Campaign or Modern Art Rip-off? (2 pics)

More and more, I’ve been noticing how modern art has influenced advertising. Take this ad campaign by BBDO NY, for example. When I first saw the images, they instantly reminded me of Liu Bolin’s Camouflage series and upon further investigation, I noticed that Desiree Palmen’s work was also very similar. Even though BBDO NY’s clear attempt was to make their ads relevant for their client, the UFL (United Football League), are they really being creative, or are they just ripping off modern day artists?
