If you have an unnatural affinity towards owls (who doesn’t?) and you love street art, then do we have something for you. Street artist Craig Anthony Miller (or CAM) recently completed a huge mural of colorful owls for the DUMBO Walls Project, a series of eight outdoor murals packed within a four-block stretch of DUMBO along the BQE that have been painted on by some of the most exciting street artists in the world like Shepard Fairey, Faith47, Stefan Sagmeister, and Yuko Shimizu.
Called “The Owls, Revealing Flight,” the bright piece consists of several owls, much taller than the artist himself, proudly displaying an incredible amount of flair. One even looks like he’s sporting a mustache!
The DUMBO Walls Project is just one of the highlights of the DUMBO Arts Festival in Brooklyn, New York, which officially kicks off this year on September 27 and runs till September 29. Wish we could be there! The three-day festival is sure to transform the hip neighborhood of DUMBO into a thrilling playground of arts and events.
Now watch as CAM’s massive mural comes together.
