Handcrafted Porcelain "State Plates" Form 7-Foot Map of the United States

Detroit-based company Corb has created The Fifty United Plates Map as a tribute to hardworking craftspeople across the country. Their interlocking collection of handcrafted porcelain plates fit together and form a massive three-dimensional map that spans seven feet by four feet. Individually, each non-stick State Plate is roughly 12 to 16 inches on its longest side, which makes them ideal for cakes, pies, casseroles, and appetizers. They could even double as planters for succulents.

The collection of ceramic States was first launched as a Kickstarter campaign in the summer of 2013. After two years, Corb has perfected their whole-map prototype and see it as way to celebrate where Americans make their homes–specifically those who are makers, farmers, and laborers that transform their communities into brighter, more creative places.

You can purchase the individual 50 States through Corb’s online shop.
