Living in the city can take its toll on a person, forcing an individual to find solace in nature. Fresh air, trees, and woodland sounds can serve as a retreat for someone who needs to get away from the everyday stressors they face. That was the inspiration behind upstate New York’s Beaver Brook–an estate created by Vimeo’s co-founder Zachary Klein. Together, Klein, photographer Noah Kalina, writer Steven Leckart, and contributing artists from around the world decided to pay homage to these outdoor sanctuaries in their book Cabin Porn. Within its pages, the publication displays a variety of cabins, huts, yurts, and tiny homes that look as though they belong in both vintage and contemporary fairy tales.
Cabin Porn‘s suitable subtitle is “inspiration for your quiet place somewhere.” In showcasing the cabins that were built with ambition, the book’s creators hope to inspire readers to envision their dream home as a retreat reflecting their inner world.
Cabin Porn is now available to purchase online.
