We were granted special access to preview Amy Sol’s dreamy new works that will go on display at Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City, California starting March 10, 2012. Called Numina, the major exhibition will feature ten new acrylic-on-wood panel paintings with Sol’s signature soft colors and dreamy settings. “The characters in each piece are participants seeped in adventure and dream logic,” she told the gallery.
“In a way, I feel I have tapped in to a primitive creative energy that first compelled me to paint when I was a child. Exploration is the primary goal of each piece, with composition and palette guided by intuition and instinct,” Sol says.
The opening reception for Numina takes place on Saturday, March 10 and all are welcome. The exhibition will be on view through March 28, 2012. Don’t her paintings make you feel like you’re being whisked away into another world? Love.
