If you ever felt alone in a room filled with people, you’ll enjoy these photos from Carlo Van de Roer. Van de Roer’s carefully watches how people interact with the environment and with each other. Viewed from above, he then sees “patterns and groupings of people” emerge telling an interpretive story. Based on your personal experiences, these pictures will either make you feel calm or will make you feel uneasy. But that is what I think Van De Roer wants. And isn’t that when art is at its best?
